Why our spray tans are better than misting booth tans and self tanning products.

Our spray tanning air compressor equipment has the finest spray available with the least amount of over-spray for smooth flawless application. Because it is applied by a specialist certain areas such as the legs can be sprayed darker that the face. The solution we use does not have alcohol (which is drying to the skin) or that awful odor of solutions used in the booths.

Misting booths at salons are very expensive and don't give you control over specific areas. To get an even tan they can require convoluted twisting movements. Booth instructions can be confusing to follow and even the best attempts may result in drips and blotches.

Self tanning creams are virtually impossible to ensure even coverage and the color looks unnatural. They often stain your hands an unnatural deep orange.
The active ingredient in most sunless tanning products is Dihyroxyacetone (DHA). DHA has been FDA approved for over 20 years. There are no harmful effects and allergies to DHA are rare. DHA is a sugar that causes the proteins in the outer layer of your skin to react with the oxygen in the air to produce a brownish color. It is not a dye, but a chemical reaction causing your skin to develop a natural bronze color on its own.
When sprayed you will see an immediate color from the color guide that allows us to ensure even coverage. Over the next 6-8 hours, the DHA develops over time. The temporary color guide washes away at your first shower leaving a rich natural tan color that lasts is from the DHA.
Spray tans last typically around 7 days. Like real tans, airbrush tans fade with time as your skin cells exfoliate. Moisturizers and tanning extenders will increases the life of your tan. With proper skin hydration they can last as long as 10 -14 days.
